Jacqueline Shaffer

CANFIELD - Prayers will begin Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Church, for Jacqueline Shaffer, 82, who died early Thursday morning at Masternick Memorial Nursing Home.
Jacqueline was born Sept. 23, 1933, in Youngstown, the daughter of James and Michaeline (Suskey) Rock.
She was a graduate of South High School and attended college. Jacqueline enjoyed teaching dance classes and roller skating.
Her husband, Harold E. Shaffer, whom she married Nov. 9, 1957, died Oct. 19, 2012.
Jacqueline is survived by three daughters, Lori (James) Clayton of Columbus, Marianne (Tom) Bruss of Canfield, and Jacqueline Shaffer of Boardman; five sons, Harold (Maureen) Shaffer II of Myrtle Beach, Ronald (Cindy) Shaffer of Wisconson, Michael (Jodi) Shaffer of Canfield, Steven Shaffer of Boardman, and James (Cathy) Rock of Boardman; a sister Rickie Rock; 20 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and sister Connie Hawley.
Family and friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
