AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for Mrs. Jacquelyn A. Vadas, 62, who died Wednesday afternoon at her residence after a 10 month battle with cancer with her family by her side.
Jacquelyn was born Nov. 13, 1946 in Youngstown, a daughter of Edwin and June Price Renz.
She is a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, a homemaker and had retired from JCPenney, Southern Park Mall working in the office. Quilting was a hobby that she truly enjoyed but her greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren.
Jacquelyn leaves her father, Ed of Austintown; her husband, Michael A. Vadas, whom she married Aug. 26, 1972; one daughter, Kimberly Jim Stehura; two sons, Michael S. Vadas and William Stephanie Vadas; one brother, William Fely Renz, all of Austintown; and five grandchildren, Andrew and Abilgail Stehura, Andrew and Emily Dunn and Meghan Vadas.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to the time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice House.
