CANFIELD – James Patrick Acri, 81, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, as a result of Alzheimer’s. He was cared for at home by his loving wife and son.
Jim, also known as “Pat” by some, was born in Youngstown, a son of Florence Sirbu Acri on Dec. 17, 1936.
He was a proud graduate of East High School and Youngstown State University.
Jim always worked in advertising. The last 35 years he owned his own company, Promotional Advertising. He started selling to single employee companies which led to selling to major corporations.
Jim was an avid horse race handicapper and could be found in the clubhouse of Mountaineer. He also belonged to the downtown YMCA for many years.
Jim is survived by his wife, Trudi; son Patrick (Sally) Acri of Canfield; daughter Traci (David) Hardy of Canfield; grandchildren Justin (Hannah) Acri, Taylor (Bob Kornack) Acri, Logan Acri, Amanda (Mathew) Narducci, Nick (Dani) Hardy; great-granddaughter Avery May Acri; and his brother, Michael Acri of Erie.
Per Jim’s request, no services will be held.
Arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
