James Docherty

Austintown - Services will be Monday morning at 10:00 AM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for James Carl Docherty, 46, who passed away Thursday, after a 15 month battle with brain cancer, with his mother, father and two sisters by his side.

James was born November 13, 1959, in Youngstown, a son of William and Constance Pellegrene Docherty.

Jim was a graduate of Hubbard High School and graduated from YSU with a bachelors degree in Graphic Arts. He worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a Health Care Associate for over 10 years until the time of his illness. Jim is a member of the church, enjoyed, art, animals and collecting collectibles.

Jim is survived by his parents with whom he made his home in Austintown, two sisters Deborah Marc Butson of Mineral Ridge, and Darlene Kenney Fabek of Austintown; three nephews Jason Fabek and Kenny Fabek both of Austintown and Nick Diana of Mineral Ridge; and a niece Tayler Diana of Mineral Ridge.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Florence Docherty and Carl and Elsie Pellegrene; and a grandmother Elizabeth Pellegrene.

Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
