PITTSBURGH - James Richard Donofrio passed away Nov. 1, 2011, from cancer. He was courageous and strong in his fight with the disease. He died peacefully, surrounded by his family.
James Donofrio was born Sept. 9, 1945.
He graduated from Chaney High School in Youngstown and attended Youngstown State University. Although he lived in many places, he spent the last 12 years calling Pittsburgh his home.
James was the president of TruWin, located in Canonsburg, Pa. He will be remembered for his creativity, drive and dedication to both his work and family. He was an eternal optimist, who believed anything was possible if you have the right attitude. Determination, dedication and discipline were cornerstones of his life. James Donofrio was preceded in death by his parents, Florence Conti and James V. Donofrio.
He is survived by his fiancée, Susan Dugan, and his four children, Mary Joseph MacDougall, Jim Donofrio, John Deborah Donofrio and Anthony Jennifer Donofrio. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael and Andrew MacDougall, Nicholas Donofrio, and Ryan and Isabella Donofrio.
