New Middletown........ Services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM in Poland Presbyterian Church for James " Jamie" Gahagan Jr., age 25, of New Middletown. Jamie shed the earthly shackles of Cerebral Palsy and rode into Heaven early Thursday morning at the Hospice House after a sudden illness. Leaving behind a great loss in the hearts of those of us who were blessed with the precious gift of having him touch our lives.
Jamie taught many of us the lessons of unconditional love, compassion and keeping things in perspective with his great sense of humor. His spirit always bringing forth the rewards of doing your best.

A 2005 graduate of Leonard Kirtz School, Jamie worked at Masco Bev Road Workshop and was active in Special Olympics for several years. His hobbies and passions included his extensive collection of model aircraft, his appreciation of music and his love of animals, including the companionship of his two dogs and four cats.

Leaving behind to cherish his life are his mother, Cynthia Cunningham where Jamie made his home, his father James Sr. , loving stepmother Milissa Gahagan, and his stepfather Robert Maurice. Jamie extended family include his grandparents Donald Gahagan of Canfield, Robert and Sonnie Cunningham of Myrtle Beach S.C., Angela and Michael Ferraro of Bessemer, PA and Edwin and Jeanette Maurice of Poland and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends were blessed with having Jamie in their lives. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Betty Gahagan.
Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Poland Chapel and one hour
prior at the church on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley , 5190 Market Street Boardman, Ohio 44512 or to the Mahoning County Council for Retarded Citizens, 3024 Center Road Poland, Ohio 44514
