AUSTINTOWN - Private family services were held for James R. Gibson, 52, who passed way Thursday at his home with his family by his side.
James was born Oct. 24, 1958, in Warren, the son of Ernest and Margaret Simpson Gibson.
James was self-employed. He fought a brave battle and always stayed positive. His greatest love was for his wife and son, and his family meant everything to him.
James leaves his wife, the former Christine Davidson, whom he married Oct. 4, 1986; his mother, Margaret Gibson of Columbiana; his son, James R. Gibson Jr. at home; three sisters, Barbara Felt of Columbiana, Penny Jones of Lowellville and Linda Sferra of Columbiana; one brother, Ernest Gibson Jr. of Struthers; and his best friend, Gus Johnson.
James was preceded in death by his father.
Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
