CANFIELD - James P. Himes, 63, passed away August 13, 2024, at the Hospice House.
Born on July 3, 1961, in Youngstown, James graduated from Western Reserve High School and later pursued his passion at Machine Trade Vocational School, setting the stage for a remarkable career. Over 32 years, he honed his craft at Gottschall Tool and Die in Salem as a machinist, before finishing his career with R&M Fluid Power in Boardman.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Lisa G. Boyle Himes, whom he married on March 29, 1980; two devoted sons, Jimmy (Jaimie) Himes of North Jackson and Jason (Liz) Himes of Austintown; a brother, Robert (Vicki) Himes of Austintown; six adoring grandchildren, Brandon, Emma, Sarah, Paige, Blake, and Lilly; and his first great-granddaughter, Scarlet, who was welcomed into the world on this very day.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary McCauley Himes.
Family and friends may pay their respects from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Friday August 16, 2024 at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Jackson-Milton Chapel, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:30 PM.
Burial will take place at Ellsworth Cemetery.
