SALEM - Private family services will be held at a later date for James "Jim" F. Hrusovski Sr., 73, who passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Salem Community Hospital.
Jim was born on March 20, 1940, in Youngstown, the son of Stephen and Helen (Fleece) Hrusovski.
Jim married Sandra Gosnell on July 20, 1960, sharing 53 years of marriage. Together their union produced two children.
Jim leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Sandra; his children, son, James Jr. of Salem and daughter, Sherri of Salem; grandchildren, Mykie (Lindsey) Hrusovski of Cleveland, Brandon (Victoria) Hrusovski of the U.S. Navy, and Andrew Hrusovski of Salem; and a brother, John "Fats" Hrusovski of Youngstown.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geraldine Scott; and brothers, Ronald, Stephen, and Robert Hrusovski.
He was a member of the Ohio National Guards.
He retired from Eljers Plumbing Ware Division in Salem. Earlier in his career he worked for Youngstown Sheet & Tube, and Klempay's Moving Company of Canfield.
He loved the outdoors. During the springtime he liked to tinker in his greenhouse and around the yard. He enjoyed his leisure time and social activities, and his involvement with his family. He dearly loved his wife, children and all of his grandchildren very much.
Jim was a simple man who wanted people to "remember him as he was."
Professional arrangements are by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel.
