Services will be at 2 PM Monday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for James "Jim" M. Stein, 54, who passed away Wednesday while working at his nursery.
Jim was born May 25, 1951 in Massillion, the son of Richard W. and Doris Noaker Stein.
Jim attended the Ohio State Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster. He was a horticulturalist and owned and operated Jim Stein's Nursery Sales in Fredricktown. He was a member of the Ohio Nursery Man's Association.
Jim volunteered at various food banks. He was an avid golfer and also coached baseball during which time he had the opportunity to coach his son. Jim passed away doing what he loved to do.
Jim us survived by his mother, Doris Stein; a son James Tyler Stein; a stepson Andrew Mason; two sisters Laurie TonyFall and Carol Larry Fisher; two brothers, Rick Mari Stein and Kim Soi Stein; and his nieces and nephews, Jim Austrino, Saela Austrino, Riley Fisher, Tony Fisher, and Emily Stein and Jason Dennison.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Richard W. Stein.
Friends may call from 1 to 2 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
