BOARDMAN-Services will be Saturday morning at 9:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and at 10:00 AM at St. Columba Cathedral for James J. Stilliana age 64 of Boardman who passed away Tuesday afternoon at the Cleveland Clinic.
Jim was born December 25, 1942, in Youngstown, the son of James P. and Mary Sedlock Stilliana.
After his graduation from Ursuline High School in 1960 he enlisted and served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He had attended Long Beach State University and also Youngstown State University. Mr. Stilliana had worked as a sales Representative for Shanango China and later for Homer-Laughlin China. He was currently self employed as a manufacturers Representative with his own firm J & T Marketing until the time of his illness.
He had been a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, the Catholic War Vets # 1292, Eagles # 212, Elks # 069, and had coached Boardman Little League.
He was an avid golfer and had won numerous tournaments in the area. In 1964 he had competed in the PGA 's Hawaiian Open where he had recorded the lowest score for an amateur. One of his more notable accomplishments as a golfer was recording eight Holes in One.
Jim is survived by his wife the former Suzanne M. Young whom he married August 26, 1967, two sons Anthony J. Lisa Stilliana of Boardman, and John Carla Stilliana of Concord, Ohio, a sister Donna Joseph Granitto of Poland, and four grandchildren, Dominic, Marco, Isabella, and Carleen Stilliana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
