YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel for Jane R. Kaufman, 89, who passed away Wenesday morning at her home.
Jane was born June 2, 1922, in Bellivue, Pa., a daughter of the late Harry and Hilliard Hamilton Ramsey.
Jane was an teletype operator for the Pennsylvannia Railroad during World War II and a Stanley demonstrator for 54 years. She was a member of the Hertiage Presbyterian Church for 60 years, where she was a choir member and served as a deacon. She was also a member of the Tuesday Gourmet Dinner Club and the Holiday Bowling League. A favorite pastime pleasure was going on cruises.
Her husband, Carroll Kaufman, whom she married May 9, 1942, passed away Aug. 2, 2005.
Jane leaves a daughter, Barbara Nick Ferreri of Youngstown; a son, Brett Kaufman of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Erik Kaufman, Brandy Scott, Misty Flores-Kaufman, and Mark Ferreri; and a three great-grandchildren, Michael, Tayliann and Roxanna.
Family and friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
