Jane K. Mahoney, 68
Youngstown- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10AM in St. Christine Church and prayers at 9:15AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Jane K. Mahoney, age 68, of Youngstown, who died Monday morning at the Hospice House surrounded by her family.
Jane was born April 1, 1940 in Youngstown, to the late Walter D. and Alice M. Cregan Mahoney.
She was a member of St. Christine Church and a 1958 graduate of Ursuline High School.
Jane worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital as a Lab Technician out of high school before joining her sister Elaine as the manager of the Favor-it Hostess Shop until her retirement.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Morton, and her brothers, James and Walter Mahoney.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Hank Hurley of Boardman, and Catherine Guerriero of Boardman; Her ultimate joy was her family and sharing in the lives of her 17 nieces and nephews and 18 great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8PM at the funeral home.
Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staffs of the Hospice House and Beeghly Oaks, all the kind and caring aides, and especially Barb and Alice, for the love and care that they showed Jane.
