AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Jane A. Tatarka, 82, who passed away Saturday afternoon at Hospice House.
Jane was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Youngstown, the daughter of Frank and Antionette Sabelli Dando.
Jane worked for Moyers Manufacturing, sewing army/navy pants and she was a part-time cook at On The Way Restaurant. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Senior Citizens Group.
Her greatest love was spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Her husband, Frank Tatarka, whom she married on Sept. 8, 1945, passed away Oct. 24, 1983.
Jane leaves her daughter, Jean Lawrence Price of Berlin Center; her two sons, Robert Jean Tatarka of North Carolina and Frank Diane Tatarka Jr. of Lake Milton; a sister, Anne Cercone of Boardman; seven grandchildren, Nicolette, Lawrence Jr., Jason, Timothy, Brian, Danny and Robert Jr.; and five great-grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Joel, Erin and Zachary.
Besides her parents and husband, Jane was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Prokop and Alice Dando.
The family will be receiving friends Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
