AUSTINTOWN - Services will be at a later date at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Janet D. Bennett, 65, who died early Monday morning at Meridian Arms Care Center.
Janet was born June 21, 1952, in Youngstown, the daughter of Jim and Mary J. (Hart) Martin.
She was a 1971 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School and had worked as a special education teacher for the MRDD.
She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal, where she sang in its choir, and currently attended St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
Janet enjoyed biking as a member of the Afro Dogs and One Good Partner Motor Cycle Clubs.
Her husband, Joseph Bennett, whom she married Aug. of 1984, died Oct. 5, 2001.
She is survived by a son, Brandon Michael Bennett and his fiancé, Christina Loney of Cortland; three grandchildren, Aniece Marie Anderson, Megan Lynn Bennett and Izaiah R. Loney; and her good friend, Cindy Kramer of Austintown.
