YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Janet LeFevre, 94, who passed away Monday evening at the Sterling House.
Janet was born March 19, 1916, in Jersey City, N.J. to Frederick and Alma Maier Miles.
Janet was a registered nurse for Christ Hospital in Jersey City and an ER nurse at Freuhauf. She was also a medical transcriber at Beth Israel Hospital in Passaic, N.J. She was an artist and enjoyed ballroom dancing.
Her husband, Stanley Frank LeFevre, whom she married Aug. 4, 1945, passed away Dec. 29, 2005.
Janet leaves her daughter, Lynne Paul Horacek of Austintown; a sister, Martha Carroll of Westwood, N.J.; a grandson, Daniel Frank Horacek; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two sisters, Dorothy McNamara and Mary Docke.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Material tributes may take the form of donations to Southern Care Hospice or American Cancer Society.
