WARREN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, North Jackson Chapel for Janice Kay MacMurray, 59, who passed away Thursday at her home after a battle with colon cancer.
Janice was born March 11, 1952, in Saginaw, Mich., the daughter of Robert and Ruth Popp Oakes.
Janice was a merchandiser for American Greetings. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafting, walking, traveling, biking and gardening. Almost ever summer, she would go with her family to her parents cabin in Michigan.
Janice leaves her husband, James R. MacMurray, whom she married June 23, 1973; her mother, Ruth Oakes; two daughters, Tracey Charlie Spaulding of Springboro and Michele MacMurray of Rochester Hills, Mich.; a sister, Ruthie Ivan Tribfelner of Oakley, Mich.; a brother, Ronald Rose Oakes of Marathon, Fla.; and a grandson, Aidan Charles Spaulding.
Janice was preceded in death by her father.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
