YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will begin Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Christ Our Savior Church, for Jaynee L. Cartwright, 76, who died Friday evening at Hospice House, surrounded by her family.
Jaynee was born Nov. 15, 1938, in Youngstown, to James and Mildred (Craig) Holt.
She was a graduate of Ursuline High School and a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Church, where she taught CCD for 21 years. Jaynee enjoyed long bike rides, sewing, and making crafts. She was also a den mother for the Boy Scouts for many years.
Jaynee is survived by her husband, Charles Cartwright, whom she married Nov. 23, 1957; a daughter, Mary (Bill) Belyusar of Poland; three sons, Thomas (Karen) Cartwright of Boardman, Christopher (Alice) Cartwright of Poland and Mark (Karen) Cartwright of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, William E. Holt.
Family and friends may call today from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
