Jean Wilson

March 10, 1939 — June 18, 2015

CANFIELD - Funeral services will be held Sunday, at 7 p.m., at the Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road, Canfield, officiated by Pastor Rick Enlow and Pastor Fred Markusic, for Mrs. Jean Wilson, 76, who died Thursday evening at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born in Youngstown on March 10, 1939, a daughter of Jay and Jean (Walker) Shaner.

She graduated from South High School in 1956. Jean owned and operated the Happy Hour Preschool in Boardman for over 25 years. She was a member of the church and led the ladies Bible study group for many years. At one time, Jean was the softball coach in Beaver Township. She enjoyed music, but her greatest love was her family, especially her kids and her 16 grandchildren.

Jean was married to the love of her life, Edward Wilson, whom she married Aug. 17, 1957.

She leaves her husband, "Ed"; three daughters, Teri (John) Ruiz, Susan (David) Cappuzzello and Jeanne (Craig) Less; three sons, Gary, Jay and Mark Wilson; two sisters, Linda Johnston and Judy Tangradi; one brother, David Shaner; and 16 grandchildren, Jonathan, Nathan, Jacob and Shea Ruiz, Katie and Dan Libb, Andrew and Cara Cappuzzello, Madison, Logan, Ashlyn and Kayden Less, Colton and Regan Wilson and Chase and Aiden Wilson.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 6:45 p.m. at the church.
