YOUNGSTOWN - Jeanne went home to be with the Lord Friday morning at Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Jeanne was born Dec. 4, 1936, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Stephen and Dorothy Ferkula and Margaret Patrick.
A 1954 graduate of Fitch High School, she retired after 37 years as a machine operator at Metal Carbide Corp.
She enjoyed in her lifetime traveling, skiing, and was a faithful Dale Earnhardt NASCAR race fan. She was also a wonderful cook.
Jeanne?s life was full of friends. Her lifelong friends and cousin Jean Cappabianca and Geri DeLuca shared daily phone calls and decades of fun, love and support. Her friend, John Rodrigues, was also faithfully there for her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death just two months ago by her brother, Ronald Carol Ferkula, and Jean Cappabianca.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Cindi John Campbell; Her granddaughters, Shawnna Joe Catino, Mary Beth, Julie and Sarah Jean; great-granddaughter Kaylee Campbell, the apple of her eye and the joy of her life; beloved sister, Jackie Moncrief Lou Monsour; and many neighbors and friends.
Friends and family may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, where prayers will be offered Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Brendan?s Church.
