Jeffrey Bailey

YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass at 1PM at St. Angela Merci Church for Jeffrey S. Bailey, 61, who died Tuesday morning at Select Specialty at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Jeffrey was born July 29, 1957, in Allentown, Pa., the son of William and Olga (Kalisbko) Bailey.

He was a graduate of Emmaus High School and worked for many years as a truck driver for Armillini Express Lines until retiring. Jeffrey was honored with the “Highway Hero” award for saving the lives of two women in an accident.

Jeffrey was an animal lover and enjoyed rescuing cats.

He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Beckhans, whom he married June 20, 2005; daughters Jennifer (Leonard Jr.) Veccia of Warren and Andrea Brindisi of New York; sons Scott Bailey of Pa., Raymond (Tina) Permiceo and Christopher Permiceo both of New York; brother David (Barbara) Bailey of Pa.; and 10 grandchildren, Anthony, Andrea, Gina, Chris P., Chris B., John, Kelly, Adrianna, Ashley and Anna.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Brunstetter Cemetery.
