CANFIELD Memorial Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Old North Church in Canfield for Jo Ann J. Crogan, 69, who passed away peacefully Sunday at Hampton Woods.
Jo Ann was born May 20, 1939, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Eugene and Helen Mancino Malone.
She was a 1957 graduate of Ursuline High School, and in 1960 she received a Bachelors Degree and later a Masters Degree in Education from Youngstown State University.
Jo Ann was a grade school teacher at St. Charles, St. Patrick, and St. Rose Schools. She taught full-time until the birth of her children then became part-time volunteering and substituting. Jo Ann was a member of the Army Reserve Officers Association and the Ladies Axillary of P.H.C.C.
Her husband, Thomas W. Crogan, whom she married Aug. 27, 1960, passed away Oct. 23, 2003.
Jo Ann leaves a daughter, Joann Crogan GlennRechtine of Rochester, N.Y.; three sons, Thomas Terri Crogan, Douglas Karen Crogan, and Brian Rosie Crogan all of Canfield; a sister Rose Marie Quinn of Glendale, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, Kristi McMurray, Trever Crogan, Scott McMurray, Taryn Crogan, Lena Marie and Conor Crogan, Brian, Sean and Shannon Crogan.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Friends may call from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Old North Church in Canfield.
