Youngstown- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Friday at St. Maron Church for Jo Ann Rezek, age 68, of Cornersburg, who died Monday night at Forum Health Northside Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jo Ann was born November 26, 1939 in Youngstown to the Late Carl and Evelyn Bigley Galterio.
She was a 1958 graduate of Rayen High School, a member of St. Maron Church, St. Tobias Society, Past President of the Women Business Association, and the Early Club at the National Shrine of our Lady, American Womens Business Association, and the 25 Club at the National Shrine of our Lady of Lebanon.
She retired from National City Bank with 25 years of service as an Administrative Assistant.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her half brothers, Robert Bigley, James Bigley, and William Bigley.
Jo Ann is survived by her husband, Newman 'Buddy' Rezek, whom she married May 6, 1961, two daughters, Kim Jeff Tolnar of Columbus, Laura Rick DeLambo of Streetsboro; a son, Robert Kristin Rezek of Boardman; eight grandchildren, Brooke and Megan Tolnar, Marisa, Ricky, Bradley, and Mitchell DeLambo, Jacob and Joseph Rezek. A sister, Rosalyn Ford of Oregon, two half sisters, Leonore Kurbat and Francine Beyer both of Arizona, three brothers, Kenneth Bigley of Struthers, Harold Hilda Bigley of Germany, and Myron Josephine Bigley of Youngstown; three half brothers, Carl Missy Galterio of Boardman, Ronald Diane Galterio of Poland, and Michael Galterio of Poland.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Friends may also call one hour prior to Mass at church on Friday 9-10AM.
Entombment Calvary Cemetery.
