BOARDMAN There will be services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, for Joan Colonna, 76, who passed away Thursday at home. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Joan was born Aug. 10, 1929 in Mineral Ridge, the daughter of George A. and Laura Hofius Garland.
She was a long time member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church. Joan was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Joan leaves two daughters, Phyllis Ed Farris and Marie George Farris, both of Boardman; a son, Philip Judy Colonna of Canfield; a stepdaughter, Carol Cooley of Canfield; a brother, Clyde Dola Garland of Braceville; two
sisters, Grace Byrl Berry of New Springfield and Barbara Charles
Stephens of Nevada; and five grandchildren, Eddie, Nick, George and Anthony Farris and Amanda Colonna.
Besides her husband of 54 years, Philip Colonna, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Eugene Garland; and two sisters, Phyllis Shonfeld and Janet Bierworth.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
