CANFIELD - Funeral services will be held Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. at the Sovereign Grace Chapel for Joanne Kay Hrusovski, 68, who passed away peacefully at her home on Aug. 2, 2018.
”While we mourn our loss, we rejoice that Joanne is in paradise with her heavenly Father.”
Joanne was born Nov. 2, 1949, in Canton, a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Vansickle) Hiller.
Joanne, lovingly known as “Jo” by those closest to her, had a fun-loving and mischievous spirit. She had a dry sense of humor and loved to tease her sons-in-law. She devoted her life to her family as a stay-at-home mom while her children were young. She supported their aspirations and was sacrificially dedicated to their success and happiness. Once a grandmother, Joanne quit working as an apprentice optician to stay at home again to help with her grandchildren who loved to be in her care. She was extremely proud of all 12 of them.
She was a member of the Sovereign Grace Chapel and loved the Lord.
Her husband, the late Stephen J. Hrusovski Jr., whom she married April 3, 1972, was a precious part of her life, and she loved spending time with him golfing and fishing.
She had a flare for decorating her home, especially during the holidays. From her childhood, Halloween was her favorite, and she loved to “Halloween” people in her younger days. Some of her hobbies included embroidery, sewing, crocheting, and cooking.
Joanne leaves her three children, Lisa (Frank) Macciomei of Struthers, Stephen J. Hrusovski III of Youngstown, and Tracie (James) Terlecki of Youngstown; 12 grandchildren, Sarah, Joseph, Vincent, and Michael Macciomei, Kaylee, Stephen IV, Nevaeh, and Leila Hrusovski, and Mya, Abbie, Maximus, and Lydia Terlecki; a sister, Colleen Elmore of Canton; a brother, Larry Hiller of Canton; sisters-in-law Debbie Hiller of Massillon and Patricia Hrusovski of Youngstown; a brother-in-law, John “Fats” Hrusovski of Youngstown; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Joanne was also preceded in death by her very loving brother, Rodney Hiller of Canton, whom she spoke to almost daily and played video games with across the miles.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Sovereign Grace Chapel, 2012 Mahoning Ave. in Youngstown, for a service to celebrate Joanne’s life. A luncheon will immediately follow.
Please don’t wear black, be festive! Joanne loved color!!!
