AUSTINTOWN - Private services were held on Saturday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Joe Bob Gibson, 47, who died Wednesday evening at his home.
Mr. Gibson was born on Sept. 25, 1968, in Elkins, W.Va., the son of Joe Bob Gibson Sr., and Sherron (Chewning) Boggs.
Joe was a laborer his entire life. He will be remembered most for his kind heart and willingness to drop everything he was doing to help someone who needed it.
Joe was the life of every party. He lived life to the fullest, and will be greatly missed for that. He also loved art, especially drawing. Most importantly, Joe loved his family, especially his daughter Jordyn.
Joe will be greatly missed by his father, Joe Bob Gibson Sr. of Mill Creek, W.Va.; mother Sherron Boggs of Youngstown; daughter Jordyn Shoulders at home; sisters Delta (Jonathan) Bord of Youngstown, Gwendolyn Boggs of Youngstown, and Lorna Boggs of West Virginia; brother Ronald Gibson of Youngstown; companion of nine years, Patty Bellus of Austintown; stepdaughter, Sarah Bellus of Austintown; half brother Keith Boggs of Virginia; stepfather Roger Boggs of Elkins, W.Va.; and many nieces and nephews and many great friends.
Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents.
