AUSTINTOWN - Services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Austintown for John S. Dombelek age 84 and his wife Ann M. Dombelek age 82 who passed away one day apart this week.
John S. Dombelek who died unexpectedly at his home Monday morning was born October 28, 1921, in Sharon, PA, the son of John S. and Mary Mihalco Dombelek.
He was a graduate of Struthers High School and had served in the Army during W.W.II. John worked as a fabricator for General Fireproofing as well as working as a union painter, and was a member of St. Joseph Church.
His wife the former Ann M. Ciccarelli whom he married May 7, 1949, died Tuesday afternoon at Forum Northside Hospital after suddenly becoming ill at her home Monday after learning of her husband's death.
Ann was born March 31, 1924, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Frances Pachell Ciccarelli.
She had attended Chaney High School, was a homemaker, and a member of St. Joseph Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Dombelek are survived by their daughter Frances Marie and her husband Don Skarada of McKees Rocks, PA, their four grandchildren, John Skarada, Jennifer Skarada and her husband Michael Stinnett, Michael and his wife Kelly Skarada, and Kristen Skarada, and a great-granddaughter Kaitlynn Skarada.
They are also survived by Mr. Dombelek's sisters, Mary Ann Dombelek Bogan of Struthers, and Betty Dombelek Burns and her husband Jim Burns of Santa Rosa, CA, and Ann's sister, Rose Ciccarelli of Youngstown, and brother, Bill and his wife Doreen Ciccarelli of Austintown.
John and Ann were preceded in death by a son John Dombelek, and a daughter JoAnne Dombelek, Ann's brothers and sisters, Jake and Dominic Ciccarelli, and Theresa Kiren, and Rita Ciccarelli, and John's sisters Helen Dombelek Taraszewski, and Eleanor Dombelek.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 8 PM Friday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM Saturday morning at St. Joseph Church.
