AUSTINTOWN John Fliotsos, 80, passed away at his home after a long battle
with vascular dementia.
He was born Jan. 22, 1928 in Youngstown, a son of Constatine and Despina
Mittacus Fliotsos.
John graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and served in the Army
stationed in Korea during that war. On his return from Korea and his
discharge in 1953, he went into business with his brother, George, operating
the Feista Lounge in downtown Youngstown until 1977. In 1980, he and his
wife started and still own Genesis Home in Canfield.
He is leaving behind to cherish his memory his wife of 27 years, Jo Ann; a
daughter, Stelianne Tim Buchanan; a son, Dean Fliotsos; grandchildren,
Benjamin, Luke and Nicholas Buchanan and Alexandria and Alaina Fliotsos; a
sister, Mary Masters; two sisters-in-law, Juanita Hall and Helen Fliotsos; a
niece, Elayne Masters-Eddin; a nephew, William Rebecca Masters; and the
guys and staff at Genesis Home especially Tina who was like a daughter to
him.
John will be met in heaven by his parents and brother, George Fliotsos.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at Higgins-Reardon
Funeral Home, 4303 Mahoning Ave., Austintown and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m.
at Zion Lutheran Church.
A service to give thanks and celebration for John¹s life will be held at
Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road, Youngstown, OH 44511 on Saturday,
May 24, 2008 at 10 a.m.
