Girard- Funeral services will be 10AM Monday in the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel for John Michael Hrebovcin, age 75, of Girard, formerly of Youngstown's Westside, he died Thursday night at his residence surrounded by his children.
John was born July 26, 1933 in Jankovce, Czechoslovakia to the late John and Helen Murmack Hrebovcin, as a four year old child he moved to America with his mother and sisters to reunite with his father.
He was a former member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, Catholic War Vets Post #1292, and the Eagles. He was a Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. He enjoyed Fishing, and watching LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavs.
John worked 28 years with Local Union #509 as a Floor Mechanic, After training his son as a floor mechanic he retired in 1996.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Helen Sobinovsky.
He is survived by his two daughters, Julie Ann Hrebovcin of Canfield, and Michelle Stephen Olinick of Youngstown; a son John Michael Suzanne Hrebovcin, III. of Austintown, their mother, Eleanore Laskey who made every holiday and birthday special; a sister Mary Steve Filipcich of Warren. He also leaves good friends and neighbors Tod and Heather Butler & Family; and his three Kitty's Cuddles, Mar-mar, and Bummer. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family wishes to thank the MVI Hospice for John's care, Angels for Animals for their extended care of John's Cats. The Butler Family, and The Lariccia Family for their love, support, and help.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5PM at the funeral home.
