AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for John R. Kuzan, 64, who died Friday afternoon at ValleyCare Northside Medical Center.
John was born Sept. 16, 1949, in Youngstown, to Stanley John and Frances Agnes (Tomalka) Kuzan Garrett.
John was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. He worked as a production worker for 30 years at Delphi Packard until his retirement in 2007. John was a member of IUE-CWA Local No. 717. He enjoyed collecting old music and sports cards, camping, and talking to with old friends all over the world on his computer. John was also an avid sports fan.
John is survived by his wife, the former Kathleen Mary Wilkeson, whom he married July 15, 1978; three sisters, Linda (Bill) McCale of Girard, Rose Marie (Wayne) Fissel of Girard and Donna Jean Thomas of Youngstown; and four brothers, James (Debbie) Kuzan of Youngstown, Joseph (Beverly) Kuzan of Austintown, George (Tammy) Garrett of Girard, and Paul (Missy) Garrett of Boardman.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gerald Marshall; and daughter Melanie Kay Wilkeson.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Easter Seals, 299 Edwards St., Youngstown, OH 44502.
