Youngstown - Funeral Services will be at 9:15 Am at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and 10:00 AM in St. Christine Catholic Church, Youngstown for Mr. John M. McGunigal age 72 of Youngstown who died Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth Emergency of an apparent heart attack.
John was born August 30, 1935 in Youngstown a son of John Michael and Florence Kelly McGunigal.
He was a 1953 Ursuline High School graduate, served in the National Guard, a member of the Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3298 of Austintown , The Mahoning Valley Gaelic Society and the Lake Milton Association.
John had worked for Greenwood Chevrolet as a master mechanic retiring in 1988 and through the years had worked for many Chevrolet dealers in the area.
He leaves his wife the former Patricia Gallagher whom he married Nov. 26, 1960; 3 daughters Kathleen Richard Ebie of Boardman, Maureen John Greier of Boardman and Laura Jeff Good of Salem; a sister JoyceCor Kester of Pulaski ; a brother Thomas Deanna McGunigal of Clarksville, Maryland and three grandchildren Michael Ebie , Danny and Megan Good.
Friends may call today from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at the Higgins -Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
The family request memorial contributions to be made to St. Christine's Church Building Fund or to the St. Christine Vincent Depaul Society.
