AUSTINTOWN ? John Joseph Napolitano was born on Oct. 8, 1912, in Youngstown, to Rosa and Stefano Napolitano.
John was on of seven children, four sisters and one brother and id is survived only by his youngest sibling, Connie Rosselli. He is also survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Porcase-Napoltiano.
THE Napolitanos have six children, Dr. Stephen Carol of Leesburg, Va., Joseph Peggy of Gloucester, Mass., John Jr. Julie of Gloucester, Rosalyn Andrew of Boardman, MaryAnn of Bath and James Joanne of Bath. They also have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
John served in the Army, with the Pacific Theatre, becoming a First Lieutenant, before being discharged after his four years of service. After the Army, John served as an audit clerk in the Internal Revenue Service for 36 years. After retiring from the IRS, John did public accounting and private tax consulting.
John died in the home he built on March 28, 2010.
The funeral will be held at the family?s parish, the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Austintown on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 10 a.m.
