POLAND There will be services at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Columba Cathedral for John Novotny, 77, who passed away Tuesday evening at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.
John was born Nov. 6, 1929 in Youngstown, a son of John and Rose Krispinsky Novotny.
He was a graduate of Wilson High School and the Pittsburgh Barber School. He was the owner of Johnny¹s Barber Shop and was known to all as ³Johnny the Barber.²
His wife, the former Donna Marie Salamon, whom he married June 22, 1957, passed away May 9.
He leaves a daughter, Laura David Szorady of Poland, and a brother, Leonard Novotny.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother, Jerry Novotny.
Arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland
Chapel.
