John Joseph Peck, 72, passed away at his home in Liberty, Monday, Oct. 7, 2024.
He was born Sept. 12, 1952, to parents John and Alice Martin Peck.
John graduated from Liberty High School in 1972. He pursued a career as an auto mechanic, owning and operating his own business for several decades. After retiring from the trade, he became an OSS security guard.
John was a man of many interests, with a particular fondness for sports. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. His enthusiasm extended to NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt. John also had a profound love for animals, which brought him great joy throughout his life.
John was married to the love of his life, the former Mary McKenna, on Oct. 5, 1974. They shared many happy years together before her passing on July 1, 2020.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Peck; his sister, Alice Sue Manley; and his brother-in-law, Donald Tinkey.
John is survived by his sister, Margaret “Peg” Tinkey of Austintown; his brother, Robert Higgins of Cincinnati; and many nieces and nephews.
