BOARDMAN - Private family services will be held at a later date for John Stephen Rossi, 88, who died Tuesday morning at Shepherd of the Valley.
John was born July 17, 1926, in Girard, the son of Anthony and Julia (Stetts) Rossi.
John graduated from Girard High School and Youngstown State University with his Bachelor's Degree in Education. He was a World War II Army veteran, stationed in the Philippines. He relocated to California, teaching at the Manhattan Beach School district as a elementary school teacher for over 40 years.
He is survived by his brother, Paul and his wife, Gloria, of Boardman, and nieces and nephews.
