John Sesonsky

YOUNGSTOWN-Services will be Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 9:30 AM in St. Brendan's Church for John Sesonsky age 83 of S. Osborn who died Wednesday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital. John was born May 23, 1921, in Fulton, NY, the son of Michael and Anna Sanko Sesonsky. He had worked at the Republic Steel Corporation as a crane operator for over 42 years, retiring in 1983. He had been a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps, and then served in the Army in the Philippines during W.W.II. He was a member of St. Brendan Church, and was an avid bingo player.
He is survived by his wife the former Elva Bascella whom he married September 11, 1948, two sons, John Christine Sesonsky Jr. of Poland, and Robert Sesonsky of Youngstown, a sister, Caroline Ceglie of Boardman, two brothers, Nick Sesson of Englewood, CO, and Steve Sesonsky of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and two grandsons, Nicholas, and Zachary Sesonsky.
He was preceded in death by a brother Michael Sesonsky.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
