Austintown - Services will be Tuesday at 9:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for John M. Sheehan age 76 of Austintown who passed away Saturday morning at his home after a long illness.
John was born May 13, 1932, in River Rough, Michigan, the son of Daniel and Odelie Sheehan.
He had worked in construction, retiring as a construction superintendent for the Coates Construction Company in 1995. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Dorothy L. Sims whom he married Jan. 31, 1948, three daughters Cathy Sheehan of Stafford, Virginia, Sandra Burchett of Canfield, and Debra Fusillo of Girard, a son John Sheehan, five grandchildren, Michael, Jason, and Jami Fusillo, Michelle Burchett, and Cassandra Burchett Ragazzine, and four great-grandchildren, Kaleigh and Aiden Fitzpatrick, Hannah Fusillo, and Emma Uhler.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son Danny Sheehan, a sister, and two brothers.
Friends may call from 6 to 7 PM Monday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley.
