POLAND - John L. Sorvillo Sr., 67, of Masternick Memorial, passed away early Monday morning.
John was born July 13, 1943, in Youngstown, the son of the late John D. and Jane L. Sylvester Sorvillo.
John was a 1961 graduate of Warren Harding and received an Associates Degree from Youngstown State University. He was a maintenance supervisor for GM Lordstown for 34 years, retiring in 2003. John served as a Jr. Achievement Advisor for three years.
John leaves his wife, the former Cathy Joshua, whom he married June 6, 1976; his four children, Michael J. Sorvillo of Warren, Alisa J. Mike McRoberts of Cortland, Anthony R. Sorvillo of Pennsylvania and John L. Jessica A. Sorvillo Jr. of Youngstown; his brother, Joseph Sorvillo of Niles; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.
Material tributes mat take the form of donations to the Residence Activity Fund at Masternick Memorial Health Care Center.
