NEW SPRINGFIELD Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel for John J. Turnbull, 75, who passed away Sunday evening at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
John was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Youngstown, the son of Harry and Margaret Walsh Turnbull.
John graduated from South High School. He worked at ODOT for 30 years, then at Fok Consultants. He was a member of St. Charles Church. He enjoyed to travel.
John leaves his wife, the former Rose Marie Bezyak, whom he married July 3, 1973; three sons, Edward Susan Sprankle of Phoenix and Ted Sprankle and
Mark Kali Sprankle, both of Youngstown; a brother, Richard Turnbull of Apple Valley, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Irina, Igor and Svetlana.
John was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Sally McQuown and Peggy Sherick; and two brothers, Harry and Thomas Turnbull.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
