YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel for John R. Vanazia age 42 of Youngstown formerly of New Castle who died Friday morning at his home after a one year battle with cancer.
John was born June 5, 1963, in New Castle, the son of Robert and Frances Caleo Vanazia.
He was a 1981 graduate of Union High School, and had worked as a truck driver for the L. A. S. Landfill in Weathersfield Twp. John was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his mother Frances Vanazia with whom he made his home, three sisters, Roberta Mark Livorini of Poland, Frances Robert Lutes of New Castle, and Anna Gary Cotelesse at home, and a brother James Denise Vanazia of Hillsville, PA.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by a brother David.
