BOARDMAN - A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Boardman Baptist Church for John A. Warden, 91, who passed away early Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
John was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Meadeville, Pa., a son of the late David and Anna Anderson Warden.
John served in the Army during World War II. He was a self employed carpenter. John was an avid fisherman, painter, hunter, and wood worker. He also enjoyed building hobby horses.
John leaves his wife, the former Helen E. Epperson, whom he married March 19, 1948; his two sons, David Sherry Warden of Boardman and Jym SuzAnn Warden of Centerville, Pa.; four grandsons, Josh, JC, Johnathon, and David Warden; a stepsister, Vicki Larry Simmons of Cortland; a special niece, Chi-Chi Tinkler of Headland, Ala.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Warden; and four brothers, Earl, Albert, Jim, and Bill Warden.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
