YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Jose L. Mateo, 25, who passed away early Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Jose was born Sept. 27, 1985, in Youngstown, the son of William and Angie Mock Rios.
Jose was a member of the production team at Something New Florist and Events for four years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His greatest love was for his daughter, Kaydence, who was his world.
Jose leaves his father, William Rios of Youngstown; his daughter, Kaydence Mateo-Heubel of Boardman; four sisters; six brothers; numerous nieces and nephews; and his family and friends at Something New.
Jose was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Dale W. Ross Jr.
Family and friends may call Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to The Kaydence Benefit Account at any Farmers National Bank.
