ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. - Memorial services will be Saturday at noon at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel for Joseph Dominic Altier, 54, formerly of Youngstown, who died Sunday, Feb. 10, at his home in Florida after a two year battle with cancer.
Joe was born Oct. 17, 1958, in Youngstown, the son of Michael E. and Ann M. Prusak Altier.
He was a 1977 graduate of Wilson High School and had worked in Florida as a self employed palm tree trimmer and concrete worker.
He is survived by his father, Michael "Mickey" Mercy Altier of Winter Haven, Fla.; three brothers, Michael L. Kathy Altier of Saltsburg, Pa., Stephen J. Karen Altier of Boardman and Robert T. Cathy of Youngstown; and niece and nephews, Michael and John Altier, Angela, Stephen and Patrick Altier and Dominic and Joshua Altier.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann M. Altier.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel.
