OLDSMAR, FLA. Prayer services will be held Saturday Aug. 2, at 9:30 a.m. at the
Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial
at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, for Joseph Ross Bertelli, 47, formerly
of Poland, who passed onto a better life Saturday,
July 26, 2008, of a massive heart attack.
Joseph, the son of Ross and Mary Bero Bertelli, was born in Youngstown on
Jan. 7, 1961.
He was a 1980 graduate of Poland High School and attended Youngstown State
University where he played football.
Joseph was part owner of the Bertelli Construction Company prior to his move
to Florida, where he was employed as a supervisor for Triple A Club South
for the past 11 years.
Joseph was an outdoorsman and especially loved camping and fishing. He was a
young man
who made the most of everyday. He always saw the bright side of
life and was a good friend to all he met.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; son, Joseph; and stepson, Jesse.
He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother of Poland; his
sister, Agnes Ginnetti of Poland; sister, Lori Graziani of Oldsmar, with
whom he made his home; and his brother, John Marilou Bertelli of Boardman.
He was affectionately called "Uncle Joey" by his nephews and nieces, Donnie,
Kathy, Luke, Mark, Kristen, Heidi, Nicole, and Gina. They loved him dearly
and always said he was the best uncle a kid could ever have. He also leaves
14 great-nieces and nephews.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Ross.
Calling hours for Joseph will be held Friday, Aug. 1, from 4 to 8 p.m. at
the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
