Joseph Bolha

North Lima - There will be services Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Austintown Chapel and at 10 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church for Joseph Bolha, age 88, formerly of Poland, who passed away Sunday at Hospice House.
Joseph was born March 10, 1919 in Senecaville, Ohio, a son of John and Anna Karebin Bolha. Joseph grew up in Phillips, Wisconsin and in his 20s came to the Youngstown area.
Joseph worked in the Shipping Department at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 32 years retiring in 1975. He was member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed dancing to polkas, singing, gardening, playing cards, and going for bike rides. Growining up Joseph enjoyed playing baseball. He also enjoyed square dancing groups.
His wife the former Pauline Gavalec whom he married September 22, 1945, passed away May 26, 1977.
Joseph is survived by three daughters Karen Jean Rick Hunter of Struthers, Kathy Bob Dean of Hubbard, and Doreen John Eperjesi of Poland; four grandchildren Stacie Bill Cress of Crossvile, TN, Jason Kristin Dean of Wadsworth, OH, Erik Melissa Hunter of Columbus, and David Dean of Austintown; and seven grandchildren Ryan, Hannah Lynne, Caitlyn, Zac, Grace, Matthew and Nathaniel.
Besides his parents and wife, Joseph is preceded in death by an infant son and a brother John Bolha.
Joseph family would like to thank the staff "family" at IVy Woods Manor for the excellent care Joseph received there. Also they would like to thank Hospice House for there care.
Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
