BOARDMAN-Memorial services will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Joseph "Joe" Bunosky age 80 of West Blvd. who passed away Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Joe was born December 30, 1923, in Youngstown, the son of John and Agnes Klein Bunosky. A 1943 graduate of Chaney High School, where he was a member of its football and baseball teams, and was selected as a member of Mr. Barr's All Star team as a third baseman. He was also a member of the Girard boys national championship team in 1942, and later was received a contract with the Cleveland Indians farm system. He served in the Navy during W.W.II as a fireman at the Corpus Christi Navel Air Base in Texas. He was a manager for the Austintown Pony league baseball, and an over 25 year member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. He had also a bus driver for Immaculate Heart of Mary.
He is survived by his daughter and son in law Jo Ann and George Buzulencia, and two grandsons, Greg and Jeff Buzulencia.
He was preceded in death by a son Robert Bunosky, four brothers, Albert, Edward, Steve, John, and a sister Anna Marie Bunosky.
Friends may call from 9:00 AM until the time of service Saturday morning at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
