AUSTINTOWN - Joseph Vincent Cappelli, 34, peacefully entered on Heaven on April 19, 2012.
Joseph was born Jan. 9, 1978, in Youngstown and was a lifetime resident of Austintown.
A loving son of Joseph Patrick and Mary Smith Cappelli, Joseph graduated from Austintown Fitch High School and M.C.J.V.S. in carpentry in 1997. Joseph had worked at Fab Art, Kauffman's and Superior Beverage.
He was a caring loving person, who loved his family and treasured his many friends. Joseph was a caregiver to his grandmother, Helen, for six years. He loved to make everybody laugh, shoot pool and play cards. He also loved music and was a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Joseph leaves behind his mother, Mary Cappelli of Austintown; his sisters, Darla Dan Zeigler of Salem, Linda Sonnenlitter of Austintown and Gina John Mitchell of Thompson; two nieces, Nicole and Danielle; two nephews, Dan and John; one great-nephew, Aiden; and was expecting one great-niece. Joseph also leaves behind his loving fiance, Christina Madunicky of Canfield; and his dog, "Snookie."
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Patrick Cappelli; his grandparents, Vincent and Margaret Frank Cappelli and Hazard and Helen Martin Smith; and his favorite uncle, Lonny Lou Smith.
Joey's favorite saying was, "Make the check out to Joe Cappelli and that would be with two P's."
Services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
Friends may call on Monday from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
The family has requested donations to help with expenses be made in care of Mary Cappelli.
