AUSTINTOWN ? A memorial Mass will be held Friday at noon at St. Joseph Church for Joseph Eugene Conroy Jr., 66, who passed away March 21, 2010 of cancer at Forum Health Northside Medical Center.
Joseph was born April 1, 1943, in Youngstown, the son of Joseph E. and Mary P. Howley Conroy Sr.
Joseph was a 1961 graduate of East High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a medical corpsman in Korea and Vietnam. Joseph was employed by Parker Hannifin, formerly Commercial Intertech, for 36 years as a machinist. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, where he was a part of the Christ Renews His Parish Program. He was also a member of United Steelworker?s Union Local 2332. Joseph enjoyed traveling, dance and taking movies of his grandchildren.
Joseph leaves his wife, of 40 years, the former Rosemary Stefan, whom he married June 21, 1969; his three children, Aaron Michelle Conroy of Boardman, Ryan Jennifer Conroy of Boardman and Jodi Conroy of Austintown; his sisters, Joan Pete Egley of Struthers and Margaret McIntee of Fowler, Ind.; his brother, Michael Conroy of Hubbard; and his six grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Snyder, Kohl, Hunter and Emma Conroy and Brian Fisher.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
