CANFIELD - A memorial Mass will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Church for Joseph C. Gallagher, 76, who passed away Wednesday at St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman Campus.
Joseph was born Oct. 13, 1934, in Youngstown, to the late James F. and Evelyn E. Baker Gallagher.
Joseph was a 1952 graduate of Chaney High School and received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Metallurgy. He was U.S. Navy veteran. Joseph was a General Superintendent Operations for Republic Steel for over 25 years. He then became a sales agent for Lubrication Engineers and then a retailer for West Glen and Coldwell Banker.
He was a member of engineering societies such as ASM and AIME. Joseph was a member of Austintown Eagles and the Croation Lodge. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and was an Ohio State University and Browns fan.
Joseph leaves his wife the former Dolores D. "Doe" Segesto, whom he married April 14, 1956; a daughter, Diana Gallagher of Canfield; two sons, Gregory Wendy Gallagher of Pittsburgh and Daniel Jodee Gallagher of Dublin; two brothers, James Donna Gallagher of Chagrin Falls and John Pauline Gallagher of Austintown; a brother-in-law, Jerry Ann Rich of Canfield; five grandchildren, Erin, Meghan and Madeline Gallgher of Dublin and Rachel and Julia Gallagher of Pittsburgh; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
