POLAND - Prayers will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at the Holy Family Church for Joseph C. Leeba, 89, who passed away Saturday afternoon at Greenbriar.
Joseph was born April 29, 1921, in Youngstown.
Joseph graduated from Chaney High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II. He worked 34 years for the Postal Service and retired as manager of the West Side Station in 1977. He then worked in the money room for Mahoning Nation Bank, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Holy Family Church, the National Association of Postal Supervisors, Mahoning Valley Management Association, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the Civilian Conservation Corps.
Joseph leaves his wife, the former Johanna Machusko, whom he married Oct. 9, 1948; a daughter, Joanne L. Dr. Robert M. Felden of Akron; a son, Dr. Joseph M. Leeba of San Diego; and two granddaughters, Sara and Michelle Felden.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Paul John Leeba.
Family and friends may call Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
